This girl. I had 10 years of being the baby in the family and then along came Anna Katherine. At first it was like having a real life baby doll and I loved helping care for her but, of course, it didn’t last. This determined, strong-willed beauty had a talent for getting me into trouble at every turn. It was as if she was born with a master plan and our sister rivalry began before she could walk.

I remember Anna crying outside my door until I let her hang out with my friends and I. On those days when I was utterly annoyed with my little shadow my mom would simply say, “When you all grow up your sisters will be your best friends, just you wait.”

And here she is, a high school senior. Maybe it took growing up to see, but my sisters have been my best friends all along.

I proudly showed her off when she was a baby, and now even more so as an incredible lady sure to do amazing things!
