REVISION

Zechariah was awakened so he could be envisioned. After the angel woke him, he asked him, “What do you see?” Zechariah 4:2 It’s waking up to the vision God has for our lives, (even more than to a cup of coffee), that motivates us to get out of bed and get to work.

“Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].” Proverbs 29:18 AMP

Spiritual vision comes from the revelation of Jesus. The Lord hides His truth in relationship. When we see Jesus more clearly, everything else becomes clear.

So like Paul, let’s pray “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son].” Ephesians 1:17 AMP

Vision for our lives is not decided, it’s discovered, and often it needs to be rediscovered. After receiving a new prophetic vision from the Lord, Zechariah encouraged Zerubbabel to keep working to rebuild the temple despite opposition. “Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,  ‘The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it.’” Zechariah 4:9

Is there a rebuilding project in your life that you need re-vision for? Instead of staring at the pile of rubble that might currently be there, ask the Lord for fresh vision to see it through to completion.

Ask the Holy Spirit for vision for your life.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you areas of spiritual blindness where you may be limiting his power in your life.

Ask the Lord to remind you of dreams he’s placed on your heart in the past. Ask him if there are anything he is calling you to revision.
